Gee Family Murders: ‘Brutal Homicide’ in Beason, Illinois

Five members of the Gee family were found murdered in their Beason, IL home. Only one little girl survived what the police are calling it ‘a brutal homicide against an entire family’. Beason is about 45 miles north of Springfield, Illinois.
The dead include Raymond ‘Rick’ Gee (46-years-old), Ruth Gee (39-years-old), Justina Constant (16-years-old), Dillion Constant (14-years-old) and Austin Gee (11-years-old). Tabitha Gee, 3-year-old, survived the attack and is currently hospitalized in Peoria, Illinois. She had to be identified by her grandmother.
Rick Gee worked in construction and as a handyman while Ruth was a stay-at-home mom. They have an 11-year-old daughter with a severe brain injury that is in a facility in Peoria, Illinois. Rick has an older daughter who lives in Beason.
On Tuesday, Logan County Sheriff Steven Nichols reported that the police received a 911 call at about 4:30 p.m. (CT) on Monday, September 21, 2009. The bodies were discovered when law enforcement arrived at the home.
Authorities have warned residents of the small farming community to keep their doors locked and be aware that the perpetrator of these horrific crimes is still on the run and is armed and should be considered dangerous.
Autopsies were performed on Tuesday. At this point, law enforcement officials are not releasing any further details about the crime scene or causes of death.
